Abstract : The relationships between the parties of the Islamic World and the center of the Islamic State have played a key role in the history as well as the events of such an earlier era of the Islamic history. The Omani-Hijazi relationships, which included several fields such as politics, economics, society and civilization, have constructed a part of that history. Examining the access of Islam, which started from Medina, the Islamic State center, to the east of the Arabian Peninsula (Oman), along with the Omanis’ embracement of the Islamic State as well as their contributions to the dissemination of Islamic creed and the roles they played in the Islamic conquests, proved that there were relationships that have initially been constituted for several aspects of life, and that there was a key role that Omanis have played in the Islamic State history and events since the early beginning and spreading of the State. The relationships between Oman and Hijaz have been various and included several aspects of life, especially the economic and social sides. Undoubtedly, Hijaz has benefited from the commercial reputation Omanis were known for at that earlier time, and the Hijazi seaports have witnessed a significant activity of the ships arriving from Oman and other areas which were supplied by Oman trade. The current research highlights the relationships between Hijaz and Oman from the dawn of Islam to the late Umayyad period, focusing on those relationships which had a significant impact on the movement of Islamic conquests as well as the intra-trade between the center of the Islamic State and one of its most significant regions.
