Abstract : The aim of our research, investigate the histological changes in liver, stomach, and small intestine that occurred by use Celebrex also, to Aware them about the benefits and risks of this Celebrex and give them some recommendation to decrease the unwanted effects of Celebrex. The administration of non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were widely used due to their efficacy and good safety profile. Celebrex was one of NSAIDs; it worked by reducing cyclooxygenases2 enzymes (Cox2) that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Celebrex was used as an antipyretic, analgesics, and in the treatment of muscles aches. It was also used for patient with rheumatoid arthritis to reduce pain as an anti- inflammatory agent for a long time. However, some recent studies had reported that rheumatoid patients used Celebrex have been identified for varying degrees of damages on the stomach, small intestine bleeding, and liver injuries. This histological investigation helps to understand the adverse effect of Celebrex on the previously mentioned organs. Mice were given an oral dose 0.2 mg/kg of Celebrex for (four and eight weeks). The mice were sacrificed, and tissues from the liver, stomach and small intestine were taken and fixed in 10% buffered formalin. Specimens were taken from each organ 0.5 mm thick and stained with Hematoxylin stain and Eosin stain (H&E) for light microscopic examination. Both groups were compared with the control group. The experimental groups showed histological changes ranging from few damages in the gastrointestinal tract to more severe ones, while the liver was more affected by the drug and showed more hepatotoxicity.
