Abstract : Some basic notions and results of functional analysis are presented. The existence of best proximity points of condensing relatively u-continuous mappings is established. The convergence of the Mann iteration algorithm of different types of nonself mappings is discussed with numerical illustration. A new class of nonself mappings is introduced. The convergence of the Theta method of such mappings is shown. A numerical example is given to validate our result. An application of our result to constrained convex optimization is also obtained.
