This research aims to determine the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah w al-Jama'ah, by presenting the most prominent doctrinal aspects included in Surat Al-Takwir. It also aims to unfold the aspects pertaining to Tawhid-ul-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Allah’s Lordship), revelation, Prophethood, Tawhid Al-Asma’ w al-Sifat (Oneness of Allah’s Names and Attributes), the Hereafter, and fate and destiny, as indicated in the Sura. Contravening opinions were reviewed, and refuted following the descriptive deductive analytical comparative approach. Presenting the doctrinal aspects in the verses of the Sura, and their interpretation according to the books of exegesis and Aqeedah, the most significant opposing opinions were reviewed, and their interpretations of the doctrinal issues contained in the Sura were refuted based on the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. A number of conclusions have been obtained from this study. First, Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah have relied on the Qur'an and Sunnah in their interpretation of the verses of beliefs, and have approved what was stated in them. Second, Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah’s approach is based on eliciting understanding by combining various texts together, in order to prevent contradiction between text and rational intuition. Third, opponents have contravened Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah’s approach in their interpretations of the belief verses, causing error in the interpretations of these verses. Their interpretation approach is marred with prioritizing rationale over text, reprehensible interpretation, tafweedh, and making analogy of the unknown with the present. The study have made the following recommendations. First, recommends the verses of the Meccan Suras pertaining to belief should be interpreted thematically and analytically. Second, recommends opposing interpretations should be extracted from their original sources; studied and refuted to nullify their contradictions.
